To ensure the safe return of our community members to the school campus, we have made the following preparations:

  • Strict compliance with the health and safety guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Public Health,
  • Weekly ATK testing of all staff and student who enter the school campus,
  • Collecting information to support the Risk Profiling of each individual, and
  • Following the Community Support Plan in the case of a suspected or confirmed Covid-19 case on campus.

Please be informed that while we will be back at school, the students’ experience will be altered. There will be some rules to the work space and material usage in the classroom, along with guidelines for social distancing and maintaining good health and hygiene.

  • Families are asked to complete the following forms prior to returning to the school campus.  We ask for families to regularly update students’ Health Declarations so that we can have the most correct risk profile at all times.

Student Safeguarding Form (complete once only)
ATK test results* (required weekly, Sunday by 6pm)
*These forms need to be filled out regularly.

  • Students must fill out the Student Safeguarding forms before returning to school.

  • Students are welcome to enter school if they are in good health and have a temperature below 37.5 degrees.

  • Everyone must wear a mask at all times and maintain a physical distance of at least 1 meter while at school.

  • Students do not have to wear a mask during PE and when eating or drinking.

  • Students will wash hands frequently and before entering the classroom.

  • Adults will only drop off and pick up students, please no lingering.

  • Students will take a weekly ATK test and submit results to the school by Sunday 6pm.

  • Casa, Elementary and Secondary students are asked to bring in their personal stationery set. They do not need to bring work mats to school.

  • Our large class sizes allow for physical distancing, so students will return to and work in their original classes.
  • Seating in class will be spread out.
  • Class materials will be sanitized daily.
  • Students will bring in some items for personal use such as stationery in a small bag.
  • Snack will be packed in closed containers. Students will have snack at their individual tables.
  • Lunch will be served in the canteen. Students will be spread out and separation screens set up on the tables.
  • There will be limits to the number of people who are allowed to access common areas at any point in time.
  • The common areas are now open for use by students.
  • There will be limited space for adults in the pick up area. We ask for your cooperation to not linger, but to come in time for pick up and allow teachers to bring your child to the car.
  • The school will clean all areas more frequently and thoroughly. Classrooms will be cleaned at least twice daily. Classes used for enrichment activities (music, art) will be cleaned before and after each session. Common use areas will be cleaned more frequently. Buses are cleaned before and after each use.
  • Supplies for hand washing, including alcohol gel, will be available throughout the school. We prefer for students to wash hands with soap and water than alcohol gel and will make efforts to do so at school.
  • Work with your child to select face masks that they are happy to wear.
  • Practice wearing these items at home for an extended period of time.
  •  Ensure that your child sleeps earlier and sleep more. Their sleep pattern may be disrupted during the Remote Learning period. Children will tire out at school with all the activities and they may face emotional challenges due to the new measures as well, so it is important to ensure they receive adequate rest to have the physical and mental strength to carry on.
  • Talk to your child about what they may experience before returning to school. Talk to your child about their experiences after they have come to school.  Listen for questions and address any concerns. Share any concerns with your child’s teachers.
  • Face masks: one mask that is worn + one spare mask in your child’s bag. It is best to choose a plain fabric mask that can be washed and reused. Masks should not have cartoon or distractive designs.
  • Water bottle
  • Hat
  • Spare change of clothes (Toddler and Casa students)
  • Diapers, garden shoes (Toddler students)
  • Stationery: Casa, Elementary and Secondary students are asked to bring a small stationery pouch with the following: pencil, eraser, sharpener, pencil colors (12 colors is enough), white work mat (plain, size of bath towel), small ruler (Elementary only). If child does not have these materials and would like to request the teachers to arrange for this, we are happy to and will charge the items to the student’s deposit.  Secondary students are asked to bring their laptops, pens, pencils, eraser, sharpener, colored pencils, protractor and compass.
  • Please be sure to label ALL items with your child’s name to reduce the risk of loss or mix up.For your child’s safety we ask children to not bring hand sanitizers to school. Hand sanitizers are chemicals and they come in a variety of attractive packaging which might be misconstrued as something else and used in an inappropriate way.
  • In the case that a student loses both face masks while at school, the school will offer the student a spare face mask for the rest of the day.

Anyone who is suspected of having COVID-19 will be isolated in a separate Nurse Room. Parents will be called to pick up the student to be taken to see the doctor. The school will inform the Ministry of Public Health and will stay in contact with the family for updates.

If the suspected case is tested positive for COVID-19, the person affected will have to stay isolated for at least 10 days and return only after full recovery. The person affected will have to show a medical certificate of good health prior to return to school.
